Medico blister paks guarantee correct medication intake with pre-packaged daily doses, simplifying tracking and reducing the risk of missed medications. Follow our guide for tips on opening a Medico Pak.
Administering starts from the bottom of the pack. Hold the front of the pack towards you and gently fold once along the perforated edge of the blister. Repeat this action on the other perforated side of the chosen pottle.
Both thumbs are held over the top, with the fingers holding the underside. Tear carefully along the perforations until meeting the intersection. Repeat the tearing action along the corresponding perforations of the chosen cavity until it comes away in your hand. The perforations are designed to allow tearing off individual pottles or doses, but will not sustain over zealous handling.
The cut away edge in the corner of the blister is your removable edge. The circled corner on the backing indicates where the removable edge is. This can be peeled back to reveal the medicines to be given.
You may prefer to pierce the backing by using a blunt object for an example a teaspoon or a pak popper
The blister now becomes your dispensing pottle. The contents of the pottle can now be given to the patient. Hygienic, as no handling of the medication takes place.
